An engineer, France's first female helicopter experimental test pilot and a colonel in the French Air Force, Sophie Adenot's CV is as long as a rocket.

Sophie Adenot is currently training at NASA in Houston, USA, in preparation for her first mission into space, scheduled for 2026.

With her passion for popularizing science, the astronaut will be on hand to talk about her career and answer questions from the public at a special event on Thursday February 27 at 2.30pm.

The session will be moderated by Gilles Dawidowicz, vice-president of the Société Astronomique de France.
