Join Erin Pougheon and Philippe Perin for a book signing on the ISAE-SUPAERO campus, Tuesday January 28, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
For external participants, registration is compulsory.
Erin Pougheon is a student engineer at ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse. For as long as she can remember, she has been fascinated by the stars and the distant, seemingly inaccessible world of space. When she entered engineering school at the age of 20 after two years of scientific preparatory classes in the Paris region, she joined crew 293, part of the ISAE-SUPAERO MARS Club. In February 2024, after more than a year's preparation, she and six other students from the school will carry out an analog mission in the Mars Desert Research Station. The aim is to simulate life on the Red Planet and carry out scientific experiments. After this unprecedented mission, as one of the crew's journalists, and in order to share this exceptional project with as many people as possible, she wrote "Our adventure on Mars".
Philippe Perrin is a test pilot with Airbus. He was the 9th French astronaut to fly for theEuropean Space Agency (ESA) on mission STS-111 in March 2002. During this mission, he went into space three times in a spacesuit to assemble the International Space Station.
He shares with us his astronaut's vision of our planet, this fragile spaceship with its limited resources, which it is our mission to protect.
