Mayoux-Dauriac Aéronautique 2023 award ceremony

The Alumni Association presented the Mayoux-Dauriac Aéronautique 2023 prize at the awards ceremony organized by ISAE-SUPAERO on December 8, 2023.

For over 20 years, in accordance with the wishes expressed in his will by Maurice Mayoux (Arts & Métiers Cluny 1920 - Sup'Aéro 1924), this prize has been awarded to one or more final-year engineering students in the ISAE-SUPAERO engineering curriculum. The prize is awarded to innovative projects carried out by students during their studies at ISAE-SUPAERO, with an attractive industrial and economic track record.

This year, 2 projects were awarded ex-aequo, both potentially leading to the creation of start-ups:

• Heliosphère, by Bastien Fabre and Nicolas Bourliatoux, is a highly innovative and ambitious project involving the use of an electro-optical link to transmit power between a base station and mobile devices, which can be ground or airborne drones, or even spacecraft.It aims to provide an alternative solution to the problem posed by the need to carry heavy, cumbersome batteries to ensure mobile autonomy.

• Orbitout, byElena López-Contreras González, an innovative project offering a solution for cleaning up and securing the space around our planet by eliminating space debris. OrbitOut's technology is unique in that it eliminates the problem of docking with the target, which is often the main obstacle to capturing space debris.

We are convinced that these 2 projects are promising for the future, andwe hope that the Mayoux-Dauriac prize will give them a further boost towards success , and thus contribute to ISAE-SUPAERO's international reputation.
