At the center of Europe, enclosed between the Vosges and Rhine mountains, the land of Alsace is almost nowhere left to its own devices. Cultivated in harmony with nature, the region is blessed with forests, grain fields, hop fields and vineyards.
From Mont Sainte Odile or Haut Koenigsbourg, the Alsace plain holds the gaze, while the walls of the small wine-producing towns draw it in. The 142 m spire of Strasbourg cathedral can be seen from the Vosges and the Black Forest.
Like Ami Fritz Kobus, a willing bon vivant who scorns the miserly "sad as winter", Alsatians are tolerant. It's true that Alsace's history has seen a number of armies pass through its territory, from north to south (the Thirty Years' War, which led to Alsace's annexation to France in 1648), from east to west and from west to east (Napoleon, 1870, World Wars I and II).
The ISAE SupAero Alsace Club and Alumni Association invite you to share this attachment to this beautiful country on January 29 at the school's Maison des Elèves, during an evening tasting of Alsatian wines produced by the Bernard Humbrecht estate in Gueberschwihr.
To enable you to fully appreciate the wines, food and wine pairings will be suggested.
Dishes will be prepared by the caterer:
We look forward to seeing you at this convivial event.
