Throwback: A successful afterwork between alumni and students on the SUPAERO campus

The ISAE-SUPAERO campus recently played host to a memorable afterwork organized by the Association. Held on September 19, 2024, the event brought together students and alumni for a convivial evening combining intergenerational exchanges, fun activities and a meal prepared by the students themselves.

A privileged encounter between generations

The aim of the afterwork was to encourage exchanges between current students and SUPAERO alumni. Over informal discussions, alumni shared their professional experiences, offered advice on career choices and offered recommendations on how to position themselves in the sector. This moment of direct exchange gave students a better understanding of the challenges ahead, and valuable feedback for their professional projects.

Petanque tournament and relaxed atmosphere

One of the highlights of the evening was the pétanque tournament organized for the participants. Alumni and students battled it out in a relaxed atmosphere, where the competitive spirit gave way to the pleasure of getting together and sharing a good time. The tournament was a great ice-breaker, facilitating informal exchanges while having fun on the pitch. Whether you're an amateur or a sports enthusiast, each game helped to strengthen links between the generations.

A convivial meal prepared by the students

To crown an evening rich in interaction, a convivial meal was prepared entirely by the students. The meal was an opportunity to extend discussions around the table, or standing up for some, in a warm atmosphere. This moment reinforced the feeling of community, reminding us that conviviality and sharing are at the heart of the ISAE-SUPAERO spirit.

Networking and good humor on the agenda

In this relaxed atmosphere, discussions continued throughout the evening. As well as taking part in the activities, alumni shared advice on the transition from academic to professional life. For the students, the afterwork was an opportunity to forge links with professionals andexpand their network.

An experience to be repeated

In view of the success of this afterwork, and the delighted smiles on the faces of the participants, the Association is planning to repeat the experience. In addition to the networking, the addition of activities such as a pétanque tournament and meals prepared by the students added a touch of originality that appealed to everyone. These events strengthen the bond between old and new graduates, and the ISAE-SUPAERO spirit, always marked by solidarity and conviviality, continues to shine through these initiatives.
